Why we started Invoi.vn
The problem
Running a business in Vietnam has changed.
Starting a company has never been easier, but getting paid is still surprisingly difficult.
Not because businesses cannot issue invoices.
Because most business owners never do.
Over the years, invoicing became viewed as an accounting task instead of part of running a business. When a project is finished, the owner often messages the accountant, waits for the invoice to be created, waits for it to be signed, and only then sends it to the customer.
Payments are delayed before the customer even has a chance to pay.
Meanwhile, business owners have little visibility into what has been invoiced, what has been paid, what expenses have arrived, or how much cash is really available. That information lives inside accounting software designed primarily for accountants, not for the people running the business.
The problem isn't accountants.
They are essential.
The problem is that the people creating value and the people keeping the books work in separate systems with very little visibility between them.
The result is slower payments, unnecessary back-and-forth, and business owners making decisions without seeing the full picture.
The idea
We didn't want to build another accounting system.
We wanted to build the layer that connects business owners and accountants.
Invoi lets business owners issue invoices the moment work is completed, while accountants keep the oversight they need for compliance. Everyone works from the same information instead of sending files, screenshots and messages back and forth.
As Invoi grows, invoices become more than documents.
Purchase invoices appear automatically from the tax authority.
Bank transactions connect to business activity.
AI helps prepare month-end work instead of asking owners to become accountants.
The software quietly keeps everything connected, so both business owners and accountants always understand what has changed and what needs attention.
Over time, this connected data creates something even more valuable than better bookkeeping.
It creates a real-time picture of a company's financial health.
For millions of small businesses, access to financing is still one of the biggest obstacles to growth. Traditional lending often relies on paperwork, collateral and lengthy approval processes. Yet many healthy businesses already generate the data needed to understand their performance.
By organizing invoices, expenses and cash flow in one place, Invoi lays the foundation for a revolving line of credit that grows alongside the business. Instead of applying for a new loan every time cash is tight, business owners can access working capital based on the activity already happening inside their company.
Getting paid faster is the first step.
Making growth easier is the next.
What we're focused on
Invoi is built for Vietnam's millions of small and medium-sized businesses that want to get paid faster without becoming accounting experts.
We focus on helping businesses:
- issue invoices as soon as work is completed
- collaborate seamlessly with their accountant
- stay on top of cash flow and outstanding payments
- reduce repetitive administrative work through automation and AI
- prepare cleaner, more organized financial data every month
- unlock access to flexible working capital through the financial data they already generate
We believe accounting should remain in the hands of accountants.
But invoicing, cash flow visibility and day-to-day business operations should belong to business owners.
Our long-term vision goes beyond compliance.
Every invoice issued, every payment received and every expense recorded makes a business easier to understand. That understanding should not only help owners make better decisions—it should also make it easier for them to access the capital they need to grow.
Our goal is simple.
Business owners shouldn't have to wait for paperwork before getting paid.
And they shouldn't have to fight for financing when their own business data already tells the story.
The name
Invoice.
In Vietnam, that word gets simpler the moment it's spoken: Invoi. In-voi.
We didn't pick letters. We kept the Vietnamese pronunciation — the easy way to say it — and made that the name.
If the word can be that simple, the product should be too. Always.
