New companies lose weeks on paperwork they think is “accounting.” The customer is ready to pay. The invoice is not. That delay is not the tax authority. It is the habit of waiting for someone else to issue.
#Issue when the work is done
The day the project ends, the invoice should exist — signed, with a tax-authority code if you issue Hóa đơn GTGT. Waiting until the accountant is free is how cash sits with the customer.
You can still have an accountant. They should not be the bottleneck for *sending* the bill. See Hire an accountant.
#You need a company that can invoice
Other businesses that claim input VAT need a VAT e-invoice. That means an enterprise, an MST, e-invoice registration, and a digital signature. Household sales invoices are a different path. Invoi is built for the VAT path. See Pick a legal form and Start a company.
#Put payment on the invoice
Bank name, account number, amount. If you send a web invoice, the customer can open it without hunting a PDF in chat. When money lands, match it so you know who still owes you.
#What “paid” means
Issued is not paid. Paid is a bank credit (or cash) matched to that invoice. Until you look at both, you are guessing.
